How long did you wait to pick up your baby in their carseat?

About 4days after having a c-section..

Hubby was super over cautious. He probably refused to let me take her until she was a month or so 😅 I personally felt like after a week I was okay.

I carried car seat plus baby from the car into the house when I brought him home. We out car seat on the stroller to take him to the car after he was finally discharged from the NICU

2 weeks. They say nothing over 10 lbs. I didn’t really go anywhere, but hubby was home so I didn’t even attempt.

Just curious, we are not allowed to drive before 6 weeks pp in the Netherlands if you had c section. How is the rule in your country

I was told no more than 20 lbs by my doctor (which is more generous than the nothing heavier than your baby rule I have heard from friends) Also of course they said if at any point something feels like it hurts-stop doing it. Lol that sounds obvious but for is ladies trying to get back to our normal selves it sometimes needs to be reminded

My hubby was super helpful with that, I'm barely starting to carry him in the carseat now at 10w

I did it 3 or 4 days after.  My dr said baby plus seat was my weight limit.  My husband had some time off so he mostly carried baby, but I did sometimes and it was ok.

About two weeks. My husband had to go back to work. I also for a few days put the car seat in the car and just carried baby out and put him in in the car. Also my midwife said to make sure I was wearing my girdle/wrap and whenever I knew I would be lifting something.

My husband been off so he been carrying my daughter but I have a few times after like 4 weeks
