What does a yeast infection feel like?

Thought I had a uti, took avo and it hasnt helped me. I know I dont have an std, but have never had a yeast infection. What are symptoms i should look out for? Should I go try monistat? Currently have a stinging pain on outside of vagina :(

I don’t think stinging is associated w yeast infections. When I had mine for the first time (result of taking antibiotics) my vagina felt dry/itchy and I had thicker discharge.
Seek a professional opinion and stop taking random meds.

A yeast infection is definitely more itching than stinging and almost always accompanied  by a thick, unusual discharge. UTIs don’t generally have a change in discharge and feel more like stinging or a constant urge to urinate without being able to. If AZO didn’t help, it could be because the UTI has progressed and you need an antibiotic instead. If you’re concerned about STD’s definitely go to the doctor/planned parenthood to get a check, but you would generally see a change in discharge before you would feel a burning/stinging sensation with an STD.

It doesn’t always burn when you pee. It’s really really itchy. And your vagina will be red and irritated. Chunky white discharge.
