Pre-eclampsia symptoms?

Hey, just wanted to run something by you ladies. It's my first pregnancy, so I dont know if this normal or something to be worried about.
- 22 weeks 
- have seeing floating stars twice this week for about 3 minutes at a time, just walking around my house..... they look like fireflies and go across my whole field of vision - never experienced anything like it
- on Tuesday had very painful cramping every so often all day... called the dr and the nurse said it was probably gas
-today (friday) had increased forgetfulness, dizziness and headache
- have put on about 6 lbs this week but I've also been pretty constipated (also I lost a bunch if weight in the beginning so even with this gain, I'm just back st my beginning weight)
- I feel like I'm running warm 
- baby is still moving just fine
- I'm not puffy at all
- I dont know what my BP is but it is normally on the lower side of good :)
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If youre worried about preeclampsia, the best thing you could do is insist on an appointment. The main way to be diagnosed is with urine sample and blood pressure monitoring. 
Its almost impossible to determine whats going on with symptoms alone. Especially since they might mean completely different things on different people. 
Just remember that you dont have to have all of the symptoms to have a certain condition. And preeclampsia is serious enough that you shouldn’t ignore your instincts if you really feel like that might be it.

I also only had high BP and my feet started swelling. Other than those symptoms, I had no idea I had pre-e. I developed it at 35 weeks and they kept me in the hospital for a week before an emergency c-section. During that week I could not eat or drink anything without throwing it up. I would highly recommend a BP cuff! You can get them a few different places. I am on my second pregnancy and my doctor has me check and write down my BP once a day just to keep an eye on it.

Some of your symptoms are signs of undiagnosed gestational diabetes. Either way I’d make an appointment with your OB to get checked over

You may be low on iron or something. It’s probably best to call your doctor and let them know what’s going on.

I am also 22 weeks and we have just about the same exact symptoms. My sister had pre-eclampsia twice and I made my OB aware of that in case it is hereditary, which she said there's some research that suggests that and she'd keep an eye out. I have seen the "fireflies" since about 17wks I think so I brought it up to my OB also and she said that it could be that I need to up the calories in my diet and make sure I'm hydrating. I have not had much swelling or felt warm so no comment on that. I haven't had cramping but I have had really bad round ligament pain. It could be that or you could be cramping due to constipation, which you can try fruit or cranberry juice to help. Baby is moving around normal for me too. Forgetfulness is big for me too, dizziness is once in a while usually if I'm dehydrated. I just yesterday saw 145lbs on the scale and that was my pre-pregnancy weight. I lost about 10-15lbs in the first tri and I'm starting to slowly gain it back. I jumped from 139 to 141 this last week. At my appointments my heart rate and BP have been good too. 
My sister had a BP monitor cuff she'd use but she's a super hypochondriac so she'd check and then psych herself out more. I'm the same exact way so I don't want to get one unless I absolutely must. If you're concerned I would get one-- I know that BP is a biggie with pre-e. She ended up with high blood pressure and is still on meds for it 15 years later. Talk to your doctor for sure and make it known that you are concerned and you don't want your concerns dismissed. Good luck! ♥️

I had preeclampsia with my first pregnancy but not until almost 35 weeks. I had a little at home blood pressure monitor and I checked my blood pressure at home regularly — mostly because it’s always higher when a nurse checks it. But it was how I found out my blood pressure was rising and went in to get checked out — it was 159/110 when I went in and continued to go up from there. For me, high blood pressure and swollen feet were my only symptoms. 
If you’re worried, I’d go in and get checked out. Good luck!
