I feel like such a horrible mother.

My 6 month old fell from my bed while I was chucking some used bedsheets into my washing machine. I put him in the middle of the bed and I was walking fast between the two rooms so I didn’t think much of it, he isn’t the most active baby anyways - beeeep! - wrong. Just as I entered the room he fell off the bed, I’ll never forget the sound of the impact.

I picked him up as fast as lightning and he cried for seriously no more than 10 seconds. I cuddled him for a while until he was calmed down, gave him a bottle and now he’s babbling and behaving like his usual self.

There’s no bruises or anything of the sort and his soft spot I normal. I’ll of course have him monitored for the next 24 hours. The thing is, I finally got a babysitter for the first time and was looking forward to go out for a girls night, I’m a single mom and have no support what so ever. Should I stay home? It’s a family member who happens to be a nurse who’s watching him so I’m not too worried since he’s acting normal but omg what to do ?? Worst mom of the year award goes to.. 😭
