What do labor contractions feel like?

Question

I’m a FTM due April 9th so I am 36w 4d. At my weekly appointments my doctors keep asking me if I’ve had any contractions? And I say I don’t think so? But I have no clue what actual contractions feel like, I only know what BH feel like. 
I’ve been feeling a really intense pinching, cramping feeling on the bottom half of my uterus, it basically makes me feel like I have to Pee in an extreme way. But it is different feeling than Braxton Hicks. Are those labor contractions? Or just my babies head bumping my cervix and bladder? 
I basically just have no clue what actual contractions feel like. Can anyone tell my what labor contractions feel like?

Following I have no clue either my doc keeps asking me as well and I have no idea if I’ve had any Braxton Hicks or not

I never knew with my first either. A few hours after my water broke I started to get contractions and I KNEW they were contractions. You can’t talk through a real contraction. I was up and walking all through labor and every time one hit I’d have to stop until it passed. 
I’ve been getting those funny sharp-ish pains like you’re describing but when seems to happen when bub is stretching so I’m assuming it’s baby pressing down.

Following! Cuz I’ve had BH since the second trimester, but have been getting something different since Thursday night. Like tolling period cramps that go all the way around into my back. Just getting a little anxious since I asked my mom & she said that’s how back labor started for her when she had me.

Braxton Hicks feels like sudden lower  pressure followed by tightness in your stomach. This tightness is very visible that you could probably notice where baby’s butt is. They are not painful, simply uncomfortable. 
I describe real contractions as if my spine was on fire and catching fire all while my lower back bones and pelvic bones are breaking lol. I just did my best to breath through them and take them a contraction at a time.

FTM here and my BH feels like pressure in my pelvis followed by a really hard belly.
Actual contractions for me feel like period cramps in my lower back that wrap around to my front and into my legs 💗
