Bedside bassinet?

Question

My hubby and I are debating if it's worth it? We have a super small apartment for the time being and want to wait to get an actual crib so we can get one that turns into a toddler bed when we move and have more room. 
Would a bedside sleeper like this be useful or would our little one outgrow it too quickly? We will have a pack and play (possibly one that has the lifted sleeper attachment?), a vibrating bouncer, and a vibrating swing. 
Note: we have 2 cats also.

If your going to get a pack n play anyways I would just use that beside your bed if it fits, I wouldn’t bother getting a bassinet as well. I would definitely try and get a pack n play with the lifted sleeping surface though if you’re going to use it bedside.

We are using a bassinet by our bed. Our little girl is 7 weeks old. I noticed that you said you have 2 cats. We also have 2 cats, and I was concerned about them getting in the bassinet with her or trying to sleep in it during the day. I found this one that zips up. It gave me a piece of mind while she sleep in the beginning when I didn't know how they would react to a baby in the house.

Check Facebook marketplace for second hand? I got given 2 free bassinets from friends but I’ve also found super cheap or free baby stuff on marketplace.

We used the chicco next2me crib.
She's still in it now at 5 and a half months and she has plenty of room left in for at least another month or so.

If a pack and play fits by your bed just use that.  But if it doesn’t (like in my case) I’d get a bassinet if i were you

Honestly a pack n play is way more reasonable IMO. It lasts twice as long and can fold up

We got a Moses basket in the beginning, she was having such a hard time sleeping anywhere but in our arms, we put the basket in the bed and it helped her get used to sleeping in her own bed, it didn’t take up a lot of extra space.

I think we are going to go with something like this, a pack and play with multi uses as we were planning on getting a pack akd play anyways! It'll kill like 3 birds with one stone lol Thank you for the input everyone!
