Generic Nutramigen?

Hi everyone! 
So my LOs pediatrician told us to our my son on Nutramigen after having some tummy issues and he wasn’t having regular BM. He was on Enfamil’s Gentlease but that did not seem to help his tummy issues and fussiness. 
Does anyone know if there is a generic version of Nutramigen? This formula is expensive and I was just hoping there was an alternative that we can look into instead.

If you are in Canada Similac Alimentum (which is similar) is covered. You just need a script.

Your insurance should cover that formula have the doctor send a note in to the insurance

There isn't a generic brand, Similac makes a similar formula (Alimentum) but it costs about the same. The cheapest way to buy it is on Amazon with their subscription program (they also frequently have coupons). Sometimes insurance will cover it, although not often.
