Does the birth control arm implant cause you to gain weight?

I read something a little while back that most forms of birth control don’t directly make you gain weight- but they (obviously) affect your hormones and can increase your appetite so you feel like you’re always hungry. It’s usually a pretty gradual change so most women don’t even notice that they are eating more. 
If weight gain is a concern for you, just be very conscious of your eating. Calorie counting is annoying, but there are tons of apps that make it easier. The implant is the most effective form of birth control on the market- and you gain a hell of a lot more weight when pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️

i put on 60 pounds. it was AWFUL.

You are the one who puts the food in your mouth. Most people use it as an excuse. Maybe you'll have to work a little harder to maintain weight but it's better than a baby lol

I gained 50lbs within the first year of having it

I gained a little. I worked out 5 times a week. I just found it hard to lose weight with it.
