What are your thoughts on double-barreled names?

I personally like the look and sound of double barreled names, but would never use one because of the people who would bully my kid or judge them on their name.

Definitely a case by case basis. Some work well and others feel too forced

I haven't heard this term before but I go by both my first and middle names together and it never seemed long or a problem and was never teased for it. Ive wished before that my first name was both names and that I had another middle just because I go by both but officially only have my first name listed on things so I find myself correcting people which I would rather not do.

I think double barreled last names are cute, but I honestly think double barreled first names make an unnecessary long name.

If it helps probably not but my name is double barreld it’s Jodie-Anne but I don’t use the hiphan my sister has a double barrelled name hers is Kiya-Louise

Honestly I don't think it matters my nephew his name is David James but they calm DJ is that what you mean if so that doesn't matter I think you should do it
