No blood test?

I got my bfp over the weekend for my 🌈baby, I just called my doctors office and they’ve booked me in for my initial ob appointment. But, they made no comment on doing a confirmation blood test. Has anyone else not done a hcg blood test and just waited?

Mine doesn’t do a blood HCG test. They figure there’s no need to if you have a positive test and are not bleeding or have a reason to believe you’re miscarrying.

Same here- our Ob group doesn’t book confirmations until 8 weeks.  Never had bloodwork unless miscarriage.

This is my 5th pregnancy and I’ve only ever had hcg blood tests done when I was in the process of miscarrying, never in my healthy pregnancies.

When I had a midwife last pregnancy they didn't.  It's not really necessary unless you are high risk.  My doc did one this time around and that was cool but she only did one blood test so really all it did was confirm what everyone already knew.

I booked mine last week and my drs office didn’t mention it. I should 7+3 weeks and they scheduled ultrasound for this Wednesday.

My doctor would not do a blood test. Said HPTs are accurate and to trust that. I’ll be going in between 6 and 8 weeks.
