Tubes Removed

I’m due in June with my second little guy. My husband and I do not want anymore after that. I am considering having my tubes removed (salpingectomy) during my c section while they are in there. My husband offered to have a vasectomy however this way would be cheaper, and he wouldn’t have to take time off of work to heal.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I asked my nurse (my doc was out of town) about this during my checkup today and she advised the Fallopian tubes have nothing to do with heavier or painful periods. Also she said it would not increase my chance of early menopause. Anyone have any side effects? Do you love having it done or do you wish you wouldn’t have?
