What’s more necessary?!

Question

I honestly want a bassinet for my son and after he grows out of it, I’ll just have him sleep with me on the bed. I know that a crib is always great as well because they can sleep in it a little longer than a bassinet. What do you Mamas prefer?,  what have you thought about?, or what are you going with?  
I know that a Pack N Play is common but idk if a baby can even sleep in that over night, I feel like that’s for naps, and during the day use.. give me your reviews on Pack N plays!!! 
Give me some bassinet and crib recommendations please!! Thank you!

We have a pack n play and never use it. We used the bassinet and glad we did because I had a c section with my first and bending over that much with a pack in play or a crib would have hurt to much. After three months in the bassinet we co slept til 7 months when he started crawling we were worried he would crawl off the bed. We then transitioned him to the crib and it wasn’t that bad of a switch.

We're not doing a crib, but will move to a bed on the floor after he outgrows the bassinet. I think we may get a pack n play as well though. Graco makes a combination so you have both together if you're wanting that.

My son slept in his pack and play in our room until he was 6 months and then moved to his own room to the crib. Plan to do the same with this baby. 
He kept waking when he was in our room and neither him nor my husband and I got good sleep with him in our room. We didn't bed share, I was too paranoid something would happen.

I did a bassinet for beside the bed until about 4-6 months and moved baby into a crib after that. I plan on doing the same again except now I have 2 story so that will be upstairs plan but pack n play downstairs for daytime. I got a pack n play with bassinet and it also has 2 levels for infant and toddler sizes.

My daughter HATED her crib so she slept in her pack n play until we moved her to a toddler bed at 16 months. Most pack n plays have a bassinet attachment for newborns that raise it up and it’s great 🙂 then when they start rolling you take it out and they sleep in the big part. I got a mini mattress for my pack n play for this new baby. (Plastic side for infants and foam side for when they get a little older like 6+ months.)
Baby boy will sleep in it until he’s ready to be moved into a toddler bed himself 🙂

I've used a basinet for all 3 of my kids. I'm not big on cribs for a newborn baby untill they are months older. With this baby i plan to do the pack n play with the chair/changing table with it.

We did bassinet to start, moved to a pack n play and now she’s in a crib.  Way too many things!!! I’d probably just start with the lack n play instead of a bassinet

I’m doing pack and play to start and crib at 6 months. I’m going to buy a convertible drive so that it’ll last till he’s older.
