So I had a miscarriage in December. At 3 months. We had been trying for 5 years.

I had test run and all drs said Im fine she said the only reason she thinks my ovum dont stick to my uterus is because my lining is a bit thick so she has put me on a baby aspirin everyday. Other than that I ovulate on my own and have 27-28 day cycles. So after recovering from the mc my dr and I decided to give clomid a chance so we could fall pregnant again took it cycle day 5-9. This was in February. It failed. I ovulated we used opks we bd everyday that week. I was on cd 28 and later that day AF showed up!!

So i called my dr soon as my period started and I told her to up my dose to 100mg on clomid or to put me on Femara. So she sent a prescription out for Femara. She said to take it from day 5-9 as well. She had told us before that Femara was newer and it had less side affects and that the success rate was a bit higher than clomid.

A friend of mines dr told her to take it from cd 3-7 my dr says 5-9. Her dr said patients with a longer cycle around 29-35 take Femara or clomid on cd 5-9. Is this true? My cycles are pretty regular so shouldn't she had told me cd 3-7 instead of 5-9?
