I checked with my doctor as soon as I found out I was pregnant cause peak crawfish season is right around my birthday. He said as long as it's properly cooked it's fine to eat. I asked about shellfish in general but specified on shrimp, crawfish, and crab as my examples. He said to limit it to maybe one to two times a week, with any type of seafood.

I would say so! Since it’s cooked, I can’t see it being a problem. I looked at my Ovia pregnancy app and their food lookup said it was safe 😏

My dr wants to induce me on the 5th but they have an annual crawfish cook off on the 7th lol I was going to ask him to wait until the 8th crawfish are safe but the salt may make you swell and feel like shit especially if you alrdy have high blood pressure (unfortunately I do) just take it slow and see how they make you feel
