Formula for my hospital bag? Helppp

What formula do people reccomend to pack in their hospital bags? I am mainly breast feeding but have been told I need to take formula in case there are any complications, however I have no idea which brand to take, and what would be best for a new born. I would prefer to take cartons over the powder. Any advice mummies??

No, you don't need to pack formula at all  if you are planning on breastfeeding. If something goes wrong, the hospital will provide that for you. If you are really wanting to breastfeed, don't start formula until you speak with a lactation consultant first.

We used Enfamil Enspire because from all our research it was the closest thing to breast milk I could find. We did not breastfeed at all. We were induced 2 weeks early due to IUGR and baby girl was born at 5 lbs 7 oz. She is still on Enfamil Enspire, but we switched to Enspire Gentlease so it wouldnt be so harsh on her tummy. She has tripled her birth weight now at 7 months. I would def recommend it.

Any regular cows milk formula will be a good one to start on (Similac Advance, Enfamil A+, etc since you want ready to feed). Our pediatrician advised starting with the brand we hoped to continue with (in terms of cost, etc). The nutrition all meets the same standards. We are using Kirkland from Costco, but that doesn’t come in RTF, only powder.
