How often does your partner help you with baby?

I feel terrible for making a post about my husband because he is so loving and sweet but lately I feel like I don’t get any help from him. He usually gets home, eats, hold the baby for about 15-30 mins and hands him back so I can put him to bed. In the past weeks I went for a run twice and both times the baby was crying when I got back so I stopped going. I’m with baby all the time and I would like to have me time.

Girl. I can’t even go to the store to get the babies and I what we need. I started ordering online. Mine is too preoccupied with video games. He thinks because his co workers wife allows him “decompression time” after work he should get some too. Then he wants to play hockey with his beer league every Friday and Shot for point night (hockey on the PS4) with his beer league every Saturday. Then Sunday’s are for me. This past Sunday I tried to take a nap. Woke up to one baby crying, the other baby had spit up and they both had pooped. He was upstairs and they were downstairs. He was doing his laundry which could’ve waited till I was awake! I don’t sleep all the time. I yelled at him and didn’t let him take care of them, so he left and went to the bar. I seriously have to have conversations with his parents. I have the definition of a man child. There are some days where he is so great and then we have weeks like last week and I’m like wtf did I get myself into.

Over em the minute I get home and he plays games on his pc. We are both back at work.  Last night he went to his cousins can came back shower and wanted sex and I was not here for it- then this morning he had the audacity to complain about their being dished in the sink when ow as dealing with a crying possibly teething baby all frwkOng night while he as out drinking

We try 50/50. I’ll go back to work soon (I could take off a year but it’s a small company that depends on me and I love working there). He will be staying home with her as he can work from home so its important he gets this down as early as possible. He takes her without hesitation. At night or early in the mornings he usually keeps her distracted while I prep her a bottle. In the mornings, he takes her so I can shower and get ready for the day and do some stuff for myself. In the afternoon we Split it. Whoever wants to take her or whoever is too exhausted passes her on lol. 
Night time is my part though. She is very clingy with me and sometimes we have some issues with her eating properly when he feeds her. He gets stressed easily and initially thinks something is wrong instead of trying to calm her down and trying again. She wants lots of hugs and cuddles. He kinda radiates stress when things don’t go as planned lol. So needless to say she won’t sleep well with him

I feel you. I wants to help more but something she will only be soothed by me. But I also think he is a little addicted to games on his phone which distract him from full contact engagement with baby.

My husband has worked every day since March 3rd,  and he works nights so when he IS home he's sleeping. He gets up,  gets ready,  and kisses us goodbye.  Same thing in reverse when he gets home.  Also, last week he was at a conference out of town for 7 days. Pretty much single mom-ing it over here 😪😴 and I go back to work April 1st.

My husband will take the baby when I ask him to so I can get a shower or something, but he’s really just not comfortable or confident with caring for a baby. I try to gradually help him learn more of what to do but I think his nervousness or frustration rubs off on our son because he seems to get easily upset with his dad even when I watch and my husband does exactly what I do to try and calm him. Then I’ll take him back and he’ll calm down immediately 🤷🏼‍♀️ as our baby gets older my husband is trying to step in more and more to have bonding time so I’m hoping it will gradually get better!
