I went on a Tinder date and oh wow.

So my friends have been trying to get me to sign up for Tinder for forever. I'm 21 and I hadn't been on a date in almost two years. Sunday night, I was telling my friends how I thought I was ready to start dating and they brought up Tinder again. I was afraid it was just a hookup app from what I'd heard, but I decided to go for it anyway. Besides, it not like I had to talk to anyone lol. So I download it, and the guys that were messaging me were total douches. Nothing but pickup lines and stupid shit. I wasn't replying. Then, one guy messages me and says "Hey. What do you like to write about?" (I had that I'm a writer in my profile). We talked that night, all day Monday, and on Tuesday he asked me to coffee. He literally drove an hour to meet me. We sat and talked for FIVE hours. He's really great. Like I know I've only been on one date with him but when you talk to someone for five hours like that you kind of learn a lot about them lol. Anyway. So he asked if he could see me again today (only two days later) which I'm super excited about. I think I'm driving to see him today, which makes me nervous because he lives in the city and city driving always makes me nervous lol. I just didn't want him to have to drive an hour again because that's not fair, even though he's a sweetheart and has already offered to just so he can see me. So wish me luck, pray for me, because this is going well and I really want it to keep going well. ❤

Also, our date was on March 19th. On that date exactly two years ago, I was giving my controlling ex of three years his shit back and believing I would never trust anyone again. If only that girl knew. ❤

Update 4/15!: We've been officially dating for about a week and a half. He's amazing. So far, everything is going wonderfully! Here's a picture of us for those of you asking. 😊 Thank you for all your love and sweet stories on this post. ❤
