Is there a way for a pregnant person to safely do the litter box?

I’m pregnant and worried about cleaning the litter box myself but my husband will only do it once every week or two and he doesn’t believe it needs to be done 2-3 time a week and because of this our cat is peeing on our laundry.

Cat litter should be cleaned out everyday.. I think it's only harmful if it has been sitting for a while. Use gloves and wash your hands very well.🤔🤷‍♀️

Put your laundry away and leave his shit on the floor to get pissed on. Maybe that will change his mind. Lol. But in all seriousness I believe that if your kitty doesn’t go outside then they aren’t at the same risk of getting toxoplasmosis. I’m sure there are single pregnant women out there that change their litter boxes. If you do do it I would suggest gloves and face mask?

Wear gloves, face mask, thoroughly wash hands after and scoop it daily.  The risk will be almost negligible at that point especially with an indoor cat.  Toxoplasmosis takes over 48 hours to be present in cat feces.  You're far more likely to be exposed by other means.

I have the same issue in my house as well. Three cats and no one understands the litter needs to be done AT LEAST every other day. I end up doing it and I just wear gloves and a mask that goes over my mouth/nose then wash my hands really well after.

Face mask and gloves. Is it a strictly indoor cat? If it is then you have a reduced risk of getting toxoplasmosis.

Idk be care full tho my doctor always ask if I have a cat and if I do to not deal with the litter my aunt did and he baby has a lot of complications because of it.

Talk to your husband and compromise. 
You shouldn't be doing it period. 
My boyfriend works 60-70 hours a week and he does it 3 times a week. [We have a larger industrial sized one.]

Use gloves and a face mask but the biggest risk are outdoor cats so if your cat is solely an indoor cat, you’re probably ok. I think I remember someone saying you can get them tested at the vet and if they’re clear you’re good to go.
I just always used gloves and a face mask. Never had any issues.
