How long did you wait before going back to work after baby?

I know there are some moms who are eager and I think that might be me so I’m just curious.
UPDATE: I work for myself. I can make my own schedule.

I'll be off for over a year in total due to sickness prior to baby being born and then I get 52 weeks for maternity/parental.

I’m very eager to get back to work. But I don’t want to send my baby into daycare so young 😖

I was very eager to go back at around the four week mark, but as my son has gotten older I’m less eager. I thought about taking 10 instead of 12 but ultimately decided to take all 12. That being said, I work from home and my son will be home with me so it wasn’t a question of leaving him or not. If you work outside the home and can afford it, I encourage you to take as long as allowed. This time is short and you’ll never get it back. I love my job (I really do), but work will always be there. These babies won’t be babies forever!

I had a csection and am taking 12weeks. I would have took longer but was on bed rest from 34 weeks on so need the income now

Usually 6 weeks is what your doctor will have to take for a vagina delivery with no problems and 8 weeks for a c-section. I went back after 6 weeks but I didn’t have a choice.
