I second the infant optics. We had a v tech monitor that stopped charging after only 6 months.

The new Owlet Video Monitor! You can get it in a bundle with the sock (which is a lot more expensive and more of a luxury then a necessity), but the camera by itself is very high quality with great features for a fair price-point.

I use a nest security camera that connects to my phone. It’s handy for wanting to see what baby is doing without going in, but I mostly “monitor” w a cheap sound only monitor.
