Weed Mums: Do you agree with using cannabis during pregnancy & post partum?

Question

Just a little poll, not to cause upset at all. Many people over the years have debated on the facts whether or not cannabis should be used during and after pregnancy. As mums we all have our own opinions and of course our own way of how things should work. Let’s see those answers!

No because I have no interest in putting that crap into my child’s system. And no interest in dealing with CPS after I deliver. I’m all for weed but NOT during pregnancy.

I think we after pregnancy is fine but I think it’s selfish to even risk your babies health or development. Plus cps gets called if you test positive for drugs while pregnant.

Cannabis user here. It has replaced the many pharma drugs I normally take that do in fact cause harm to unborn babies. My team of doctors and my midwife is aware and supportive. My 1st child is normal and exceeds all academic standards for her age. I wouldn't have been able to eat the 1st 21 weeks of this pregnancy without it.
I will not engage with anyone here who wants to shame me or act like they know netter than my doctors.

As someone who has worked in both medical marijuana research and women and children’s health, I think more research needs to be done before I can say yes without a doubt. That being said, I was a daily smoker but I stopped during my pregnancy and won’t smoke until I’m done breastfeeding (it takes 6 days for THC to get out of breastmilk after one smoking session). I didn’t take any pharmaceuticals either though, other than ibuprofen for 2 days post C-section, because even those marketed as “safe” come with risks. It is my choice to put something in my own body but I won’t subject my child to anything that isn’t necessary for her.

I pressed yes but meant to press no. I’m not against weed when it doesn’t involve babies, but when your baby is growing inside of you and there isn’t enough research supporting the effects, no.

I was a heavy smoker until I found out I will be expecting. Even my mom says she knows a lot of people who continue to but I just won’t. I won’t risk any harm even if it’s little chance. I won’t hate on any one who does but just for me I stopped

Cannabis should never be smoked or consumed in any way during pregnancy. It can potentially harm your unborn baby.
