Long lasting heavy periods with IUD

I got my IUD December 20th. I bled for about a month and a half straight after but since then no bleeding in between periods.

My periods used to last 6-7 days, now my past 2 periods have been even longer. Last month my period was 15 days and my today is day 9 of this month’s.

At the beginning of my period the blood is dark red but get really bright red now. They’re super heavy too and there’s little clots sometimes. I’m worried if this is normal

I’ve also been sick with a bad cough and I was worried because I’ve been coughing so much that it got expelled (I had a sharp pain once after coughing) but I checked and they feel the same length so I don’t know if that has anything to do with the bleeding.

Anyone who has any advice or comments would really help!

(Also I don’t want to get an ultrasound because I already got one earlier this month)
