All inclusive vaca or stay home?

We have a trip booked to the Dominican with friends and I'll be 16 weeks pregnant!  It is adults only.  Do I go and be the sober lady or wait for next year? Don't want to ruin anyone's vaca.

Goooo! Why should you not be able to go and have fun cause you’re pregnant?! You don’t have to drink to have a good time! And your friends shouldn’t feel any type of way about it either girl!

I had the same issue my doc won’t release me to fly. Apparently anyone pregnant that gets on an airplane has to have a doctor note and with the risk of Zika they advised us to not go even if the cdc hasn’t had a case in over a year there.

We are going to an all-inclusive in Mexico in 2 weeks and I just found out I’m pregnant too.  Planning to go still but order all my cocktails virgin, seek out more shade and regularly apply insect repellent to minimize my risk for mosquito bites/any inherent Zika risk.  It’s still a risk to be clear - but for me, I’m willing to take that risk knowing I’m taking all of the precautions I can.
