Did Anyone else not get their hcg levels tested? My doctor never said I needed too?

I never did with first pregnancies, only this one since my mc because I’m having early scans and such by a specialist

She had mine tested so that we could confirm how pregnant I am but my levels came back super high which made her think I was further along than I was. I’m 6 weeks 1 day. She thought I was closer to 7 or past.

This is my 5th pregnancy and I’ve only ever had HCG levels checked in the two pregnancies when I was in the process of miscarrying, never in my healthy pregnancies. There’s no reason to do them routinely, but they can offer insight if there’s a sign something might be wrong.

We don’t do it at all in the UK, unless you’re actively bleeding and they want to confirm you are miscarrying.

I didn’t with my first two pregnancies. No need to. My first appointment this time is Tuesday so I don’t know what that entitles as i had a d&c in December so more than likely yes

I requested to get mine checked bc I had a chemical pregnancy back in December. I was at 5277 and go back Monday for another round of blood work.
