Breastfeeding and not pooping? Lol

Is that a thing? I’m 3 weeks pp, and ebf. I don’t feel constipated but I haven’t had a bowel movement Since Monday I believe. Probably going to call my doctor today but curious to see if this has happened to anyone else

I was taking stool softeners and pooped the day after giving birth. It didn’t hurt at all and I had an episiotomy, stitches and a bad hemorrhoid. Get some coloxyl from the chemist and take 2 a day until you poop.

Every person is different. Some people go once a week, some people go once a day. I don’t believe being 3 weeks postpartum makes much of a difference as far as time frame, but maybe you are dehydrated since you are ebf. :) Hope you find your resolution soon!

It takes forever to poop after giving birth but if you don’t soon it’s going to hurt so bad! Make sure you’re taking stool softeners and maybe try glycerin suppositories. That’s what my doctor told me to do!
