Scar tissue from nipple piercings and breastfeeding?!!

So I was a little rebellious in High school and got nipple piercings at 15 and had them till I was 17 I took them out about 2 years ago and there closed but too this day I still have scar tissue coming out the holes if I push it out I will TMI the photos, I’m now 18 gonna be 19 soon and my daughter is due about a month after my birthday and I’m scared this will affect my breastfeeding,does anyone have experience or know if I will, me breastfeeding her is so important to me and I was just stupid, the scar tissue has been there since about 6 months after they closed.

It's not scar tissue. It's just dead skin build up. My naval piercing and ear piercings do the same.  It should not effect breastfeeding at all.

My nipple was pierced and took it out right before birth. Scar tissue is present and that nipple actually squirts milk and leaks all the time. Don't stress.

I had my nipples pierced for 10 years before I hoy pregnant with my son last year. I had the same concerns, the stuff coming out of your piercing is called “sebum “ it’s an accumulation of dead skin cells. As for breastfeeding, I’ve been breastfeeding my son for 2 months now and the scars have made no difference.

does not look like scar tissue, more like dead skin cells and gunk. if you are worried how to take care of it when breastfeeding, make sure to see a lactation consultant. most insurances will cover one while you are in the hospital after the birth or you can ask if it is possible to chat with one before then. it will put your mind at ease if anything.
