Drinking and doing drugs pregnant

A friend of mine was heavy drinking every weekend and doing cocaine and smoking cigs because she had no idea she was pregnant up until 14 weeks. She didn’t use coke but once or twice but she did drink a good amount and smoked cigarettes... however, she has since stopped all of those since finding out she was pregnant. She was on birth control and you can miss periods on it so she had no idea until she went to the doctor to get a new one. I’m just wondering if the baby will be affected or have any damage from her doing that in the beginning weeks?
