So it was my FIL birthday today and so the whole family came to celebrate. Yippee. I have a 3mo so of course everyone is happy to see him and asking questions. Well my MIL asked how he was sleeping and my son sleeps 2-3 hours at a time at night. Every baby is different so theres no wrong answer there. Well my MIL's mom decided to tell me a story! 😒 After her first son was born she didn't know how to nurse either ( yes she said either my son nurses like a freaking champ and I defently know what I'm doing tyvm) so her MIL gave her son gram cracker milk at 5 days old!! Her son then slept forever! I told her that doctors don't recommend giving food at that age anymore and since my son was born jaundice I had to feed him every 2 hours. She then gets defensive and says the good old "Well thats what we did back in the day and my kids were fine." My other grandmother in law comes to her defense and says "Yeah don't trust your doctor!" Makes sense to me!!
