So he got a samsung for Christmas as it was his grandads that passed away in December ,his grandad never used it , never even turned it on and got it a year before so 2017 , so my brother in law got it for Christmas, fast forward to this evening the battery litrally exploded in his hand and caught on fire , my question is does anyone think it could have been because it was brought a year before hand and was never touched ? It caused alot of smoke which smelt horrible 🤦
