Journaling
I just started journaling in around January 2018, when things were really toxic between me and my ex. I was so lost. My family liked him and I had spent 4 yrs with him, growing up with him from 19-23 and best friends before that since 15. Anyways I started journaling so see how things were day to day. I wasnt sure if I was actually sad or just over us for the week. Weeks went by and I realized that I was writing the same crap. Finally I set an end goal. I still journal and hes moved and gone. We dont keep in contact, although he sees my social media posts such as Instagram and Facebook( as do his parents and my parents and vice versa) but journaling as made me a more rational person. It helps me think before I speak. Sometimes i feel so cluttered and if only i had Dumbledores pensive(the thing that collects his thoughts in book 4) so I made my own DIY pensive (thanks jk r.) I journal every few days or whenever it feels necessary but my mind is healthier and I am beginning to find myself (and also realize how lost i am) when you jot all that shit down its raw and refreshingly you. Does anyone else journal and love it? How long have you been doing it? Any suggestions? My entries are normally about my week, day, thoughts, emotion, petty things I think about, things i want for Christmas, oftentimes my ex is included and exciting life details like about all the new men that I've been "dating" and the fails. Journals like my best friend and mini me, like a mini brain on the outside of my body. (Mines got a lock on it and I only hand write the goods, never type that shit out for gits to hack)
Happy journaling guys! I hope if anyone's been thinking about journaling they take the plunge and try it every other night for a week and see how you feel! I usually only write about every three days.
