Also when she travels make sure she takes all of the paperwork with her especially if they have different names. Me and my daughter have different surnames as I haven't changed my passport since being married so if we are travelling by ourselves I take the birth certificate and marriage certificate.
Passport issue
My daughters step mother has a bit of a problem, they are due to go on holiday for a family wedding next year, she has a son with her ex who is not being so cooperative.
He is on the birth certificate, but she holds residency of her son
Looking for some advice, or if anyone who has been in this situation could let me know what they did to obtain a passport.
She is willing to show the ex details of holiday as her & my ex did with me & let me take a picture of the holiday details.
He is just being awkward

Does she have all of the paperwork? Birth certificate etc? I didn't need my husband to sign the form when I sent off for my daughter's passport. I think I did a lot of it online and it asked for his passport number and grandparents details so that might be an issue although I'm sure there's plenty of people who do not know the father of their child, it would probably just take longer to get the passport as I think they use that info to determine eligibility.
