Tomorrow I’m going to a Walk-in clinic to inquire (and possibly start using) the pill. I’m really anxious about it. I feel like I’m going to be shamed/looked down on and I’m really worried about the potential side effects. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I just keep getting more and more anxious.

I called the walk-in clinic and they said they would refer me to another doctor. I have a family doctor... but I haven’t been in years and from other family experiences he seems to overlook many things. I refuse to go to him and I’m not interested in trying to get on a wait list for a new doctor. Will I be refused another doctor if I technically already have on? Any advice on the pill/what to expect during this whole beginning process.

P. S. It also makes me quite upset that I have to do this to my body in order to feel less anxious about getting pregnant. Not sure if that’s a normal feeling.
