My perfect little man is here!

My very little guy was born this morning at 1:09! 4 pounds 10.5 ounces and 17.5 inches long. Was induced at 37 weeks 1 day due to gestational hypertension. Labor wasn’t as bad as I expected until the end. I ended up taking the yoga ball into the shower for an hour before getting out in order to get medicine to take the edge off. Never got the medicine because little mister’s heart rate was dropping with contractions. I was about 6-7 centimeters when I got out of the shower and that happened. The dr was called and she put in a monitor that goes on the baby’s scalp for a better heart rate read. It didn’t work so did another one which also didn’t work. I ended up laying on my right, then left, then hands and knees before going back to the right. The monitor started picking up a little on my left side. Before I knew it contractions seemed nearly unbearable... longer, harder, more painful, and my body started pushing without me being able to control it. The dr let it happen and he was born shortly after! I had a pretty deep tear and ended up with a bunch of stitches. It’s quite sore down there and there’s a terrible giant bulge from everything swelling and the stitches but he’s perfect other then his glucose dropping. I’m so in love!!! Now to choose a name and get some sleep!
