Am I selfish or to focus on marriage?

My boyfriend has one daughter and wants another kid, 2020/2021. I don't want kids but always said if my Husband (not boyfriend) wants one i will go ahead...(this has been my saying for awhile , it gives me the opportunity to find out who sees marriage in the future with me). i haven't had that "only my husband will get a kid from me talk" with my boyfriend.  We only been together 1month dated 3months.  Should i bring it up the next time he talks about having a child?

I agree it’s smart to get married before children, but if you don’t want kids then don’t have one just for your husbands sake!

Definitely have the kids talk.. but dont have one at all if you dont want kids having one for your hubby is not ok. You will probably resent him I feel like its setting you guys up for failure by almost making you do something...there are plenty of guys out there who dont want kids as well. Good luck

Have the child talk ahead of time, always no matter what. But also don’t have children for someone else’s sake if you don’t want them, it’s not just something to do to please someone else. You’re growing, nurturing, and loving this tiny little human for the rest of their lives

I thought marriage was about compromising? Is having a kid too big to be one? I just want to make him happy. I am not saying 100% no to kids but i am not going to go look for one.
