How many bottles do you need?

And which size? I plan to breastfeed but pump so my husband can help as well. I know it doesn’t work out for everyone so how many bottles should we get? I have several from sample bags already (I think 3) do I need many more?
Eta: I think I’m getting a few more in the sample goodie bags/boxes so I don’t plan on buying any if I can help it is my point.

I always felt 4 was the perfect number.

I have like 12. That way if I'm lazy we dont have to wash immediately. I was an exclusive pumper as well as baby went to daycare 3x a week so I needed at few to get through a whole day and wash them once in the evening.

I had 4 4oz then got 4 8oz

I have 4 bottles that are for pumping. I have 4 bottles for feeding. I store the milk in pumping bags  then pour in a bottle when needed

We had 12 bottles. That gave me some leeway if I was lazy and didn’t wash immediately. We had 4 4oz and 8 8 oz bottles

Just buy the bigger bottles 9 oz you don’t need 4oz because they’ll grow out of them quickly

I wouldn't buy a bunch of bottles but maybe several from different brands. My oldest four would drink from any brand, my youngest will only use the parents choice bottles. I personally loved the playtex nurser bottles with the drop in sleeve because it was sooo much easier to clean!!

If you’re planning to use the same bottles for feeding and pumping then 3-4 should be fine as long as you’re washing them regularly . If you’re not planning to use the same bottles for pumping as you are for feeding you’ll probably need to buy around 6 more.
