Menstrual cup recommendations

Question

I've always used natural cotton pads, but I'm sick of all the waste. I've read a lot of reviews on cups, and I've decided to get one.
Which ones do you recommend? I hear some have bad grip and are hard to get out which kind of terrifies me.

I really love the MeLuna. They are based out of Germany and use quality materials. I’ve been using their cups for almost a decade- way before it was the in thing to do. They now have a US website so it’s much easier to purchase than when I bought from germany and waited like a month to receive it. They have many different options so you can customize to exactly what you need since no two bodies are the same. Short cervix? Long cervix? Weak vaginal muscles? Really strong ones? Heavy flow? Weak flow? Have a specific type of pull ring that you prefer? Or none at all? They really have thought of everything.

I used the diva cup for 5 years. Trusty but the hollow grip used to get so nasty inside. This is what I replaced it with. I like how it’s black so it won’t get stained and it has a solid grip. In fact, I got it because it was the only black one I could find—I didn’t like how my diva cup got stained over time. I just like this one a lot better!

I recommend taking the putacupinit.com quiz. Everyone will have different experiences with different cups. It will probably be trial and error, as well. I got the Lena cup. I do recommend giving it a shot. They have excellent customer service. I started out with the Regular, Small Lena cup. I didn’t experience any leakage but it pressed on my bladder and I experienced pain and I could feel to pee. I emailed them and they said they’d send me a free Sensitive cup after I explained the problems I was having. I love this cup. It works perfectly for me and my problems were solved. You just have to try one and see what you’re missing from your cup or what you don’t like and purchase the next from there on. I struggled with removal at first but the sensitive cup is a lot easier to remove as it isn’t as firm as the regular. So maybe get one that isn’t very firm if you’re concerned about that.

I don’t know how many people know this but menstrual cups might not preserve your hymen and can be painful to put in if your hymen is not broken...just thought it was a good thing to know with these
