Colposcopy During Pregnancy?

Have any of you ever had a colposcopy during pregnancy? What was it like? I heard it is unsafe during pregnancy but others say it has it's risks but usually it safe if your doctor approves. I just want to know your thoughts and opinions. As I have one schedule for April 2nd.

I don’t think they do the biopsy part while being pregnant i think they just take a closer look at cervix with a microscope i would definitely ask ur ob before doing the procedure i think u can opt out of the biopsy part if ur pregnant

A colposcopy is simply application of a vinegar solution on your cervix then observation of it under a light. The biopsy is sometimes done during, but I’m sure your doc will talk to you about that. But, the actual colposcopy is just looking at your cervix. No biggie.

I had one done during my first trimester and it caused me to have a little bleeding which was terrifying! I am due a follow up appointment in May which I'm going to postpone to after baby comes - on the recommendation of my midwife (UK)

Had one done at my last OB appointment. They just put the solution on the cervix and looked with a microscope. There was no biopsy done at this time.

I’m currently 14+2 and I’m getting one done 4/24 but I’m not doing the full procedure. My doctor is only going to put the solution on my cervix and look at it under the microscope. So it should be okay.

I've had a colposcopy done before, but not while pregnant. 
I'm not sure I'd be up for doing it while pregnant. But that's just me.
