my 4 month old haven't pooped in 3 days o tried everything to help him but nothing, when do i have to let his doctor no? FtM

Most important question...breast fed or formula fed? If breast fed, technically, Dr's don't worry until 14+ days. If formula fed or mixed fed & it's out of the norm, just call & mention it to your doctor. P.S. if baby is straining to poop & tummy is hard, & your gut says something is wrong, just pick up that phone & call. There is no shame in following your intuition.

Honestly, if baby is EBF they can go days without pooping. Call if you're concerned but they may just ask about intake and wet diapers

When my daughter had those problems starting at about 2 months old, we were doing suppositories. Once she was old enough to have juice and other liquids she was in and adult dose of Miralax. She did that until she was about 4.

With a baby that young the best things to try are clockwise gentle belly rubs, bicycling the legs and you can take a warm wash cloth and gently rub the anus. It sounds weird but it helps to stimulate them. You shouldn't do juice or water this young. Suppositories are a last ditch option. They can cause LO to become reliant on stimulation. Good luck!
