So I’m just trying to see if anyone else is going through this. After my first child (he’s now 2) I ended up having a postpartum blood clot and my protein s levels were off so I was put on lovenox and had to take a shot to the stomach twice a day then I was put on Coumadin. After awhile I was taken off the Coumadin and my protein s levels were checked again and they were normal. I found out a few weeks ago that I’m pregnant again and to be safe my hematologist has started me on lovenox shots again for the duration of my pregnancy. It’s kind of stressful hearing that if I don’t I could end up possibly getting a blood clot that could travel and hit the lungs or have a stroke so I’m just seeing if I’m not alone out here. I don’t know anyone else that’s had to take blood thinners throughout their pregnancy so I’m just really nervous.
