Migraines with Aura vs. birth control

I’m looking into what kind of birth control to get (pill-wise) and I’ve read that women that have migraines with aura can’t take combination pills.

I only get migraines with aura MAYBE once a month, sometimes just once every couple months, but I have not been to the doctor for it to be diagnosed “officially” with them.

Do you think I’d be alright to take a combination pill or should I go with the mini pill??
