How soon did you schedule your first prenatal doctor’s appointment?

My first appt isn’t scheduled until my 8th week which sounded typical based on everything I’ve read but keep seeing posts for women going at 5 weeks, 6 weeks, etc.  Maybe every.doctor is just a little different?

If you tell them you don't know your last period or that you are irregular they will probably give u a dating ultrasound asap.

It is very normal for your first appointment to be around 8 weeks. A lot of us that have gone sooner is because of being high risk or past miscarriages, or in my case both.

I had the same question when my doc didn’t want to see me until I was 8-10 weeks. I think each doc is different and I finally told myself to be positive and that the doc only wants to ensure we’ll see a heartbeat and baby, instead of the possibility of not seeing a baby/heartbeat if I go in too early. ❤️

My doctor starts to see you at 8 weeks. I’m scheduled to go April 18th. I will be 9 weeks at my first appointment.

I have an early U/s scheduled for exactly 6 weeks based off my period and that’s only because I’ve had 2 prior miscarriages. So they want to check for viability as soon as possible.
