IVF and a “Very Low egg reserve”... says the dr.

Has anyone been told they have a low egg reserve and been successful with IVF?

I am 39, and have been trying for almost 5 years. 18 months trying with a known donor at home - Two miscarriages, 6 failed IUIs, and now going for the government funded IVF (in Canada).

My dr told me if it wasn’t a funded ivf cycle, he’d tel me not to waste my money because it likely won’t work.

Aside from the fact it was a heartbreaking thing to say.. has anyone been successful? Or have any words of wisdom?

My IVF is scheduled for May. I’ve waited a year and a half for this apt! I’m not giving it up.
