Help! This has never happened to me before!!

I NEVER spot between periods! cd 28 today and still no positive opk or rise in temp so I know it’s not ovulation. Opk was negative. I have pcos but I’ve never spotted between periods! Woke up and I have a good amount of pink discharge and mucus. Help please! What causes this?
