I am still so angry at my boss. Yesterday, I had a guy come to my office with the flu. He was actively coughing and wasn’t even off the tamiflu. Said he still felt bad and everything.

I told him I wasn’t taking him back to my office, and he could come back in a few days when he was over it. One of my coworkers went and tattled, and my boss comes back to my office and says I WILL see him, and that we are NOT turning people away because they have the flu.

I told her I’d see him at the secretary’s window, but I have a 7.5 month old and I’m not bringing someone back to my office with the flu when they’re coughing and everything else. After I finished, she came to my office yelling at me that she’s not going to make the secretary move out of the way (for 3 mins) so I can see someone at the window. Keep in mind, our secretary is just playing on her phone half the time. Boss told me I need to bring them back to my office, and spray my office and lobby with Lysol once they leave.

I was, and am, so livid. Of course I documented the day and time and what was said. If me or my son catches it, I’m going straight to HR with my doctor bill. What’s the big deal with seeing someone at the window? If I passed that to my 7.5 month old, it would NOT be good. This is just one example of the asshole my boss is and I’m tired of it. Anyone have any tips for dealing with asshole bosses?
