Hot during labor?

Did anyone experience a lot of hot flashes during labor/contractions? Were you sweating a lot like they do in the movies lol? Would a fan be allowed in the room? I am trying to prepare myself for every possible thing!

I don’t remember feeling hot/cold but I was shaking so hard! Teeth clattering and everything. Totally normal but was kind of a pain.

Yes, towards the middle i got very hot! You can request ice packs to put on your forehead to cool you down and they can even give you ice chips because you will be thirsty!! I wish they allowed me a fan in the delivery room! 🤣🤣

I got super hot, and felt super sick because I got so hot. So yes I would recommend a fan or even a wet wash cloth.

I don’t remember being hot, but I was literally dripping sweat (I think from the pain) and my mom pulled on a little fan to have my husband hold on my face when I finally started pushing (I was moving throughout the labor) and it was heavenly. I would definitely recommend one and plan on having it at my upcoming delivery. I think I was sweating from the pain. And also, bring chapstick. My lips got so dry during labor.

I saw someone on here suggest packing a washcloth so you can have it wet with cold water and put on your forehead!!

I was sweating so much during my labour, I'd suggest taking a flannel and getting your birthing partner to keep rinsing it in cold water for if you get hot :) also a hand held fan would be a great idea and again it gives your birthing partner a job if you need it :)

No hot flashes for me or anything,  I was cold and shaking hardcore the entire time and I was so sleepy

I wasn’t but some people sweat when they are in pain 🤷‍♀️ you should be able to use a handheld fan
