Trust your instincts
So Tuesday night I started getting cramps and back pains really bad with contractions but nothing crazy. So they continue and I wake up Thursday morning with a scratchy throat, I was still having contractions at my drs appt but they said nothing consistent so I said ok, I went home and payed down and they continuously got worse till they were back to back. I decided to go up to labor and delivery cuz my office was closed and they don’t take after hours calls, they put me on the monitors for an hour and then sent me home because they weren’t close enough together. So I went home and after about 6 hours finally fell asleep and woke up that morning to blood in my throat from a nose bleed, stuffy nose and the same symptoms as before I felt so exhausted and sick like I had high blood pressure, well I call my dr I want them to check and she tells me to go back to labor and delivery they’ll run tests there. They keep thinking I’m just dehydrated because they took 7 tries to get blood and couldn’t get an IV because my veins kept collapsing so they gave me a jug of water to drink instead, after the second blood work was sent because the first one was too clotted they said my liver enzymes came back elevated and they want to keep me overnight to do a 24hr urine and if that comes back bad they’ll induce me. I know my body even though my blood pressure is perfectly fine I felt like I had high blood pressure. So always trust your body!
Update:
Uric acid levels came back better but my platelet levels are dropping and they didn’t want to wait to take her so they started the pitocin at 2pm and urine test came back elevated. They at least finally got an IV. waiting for the contractions to start now! Wish me luck she’ll be here 3 weeks early!
