Hey guys ok so I have a question....I don’t like my MIL...my FIL is cool but they never call or check in on our son and I. My husband has a new job that requires him to travel and is away on business. His parents haven’t called him once to check on him. But his mother called me once 3 weeks ago whining about missing my son and asking questions about my husband. This is the same woman who cried and got all dramatic about how we didn’t include them in things with my son when he was first born like the baby shower etc. So now that we’re pregnant again I invited them to the baby shower they didn’t even come. They just gave us a gift when my husband took our son over there for an hour. My question is would y’all being in my position take your child over there to see them without your husband being in town when they make little to no effort to even be apart of their grandchild’s life. They have other grandchildren that don’t even want to be around them. Just FYI. On one hand I’m like that is my son’s grandparents but on the other hand I’m pregnant and tired and honestly don’t want to go. And make fake small talk lol. My son doesn’t even really ever even ask to go over there unless one of them call and he hears their voice. And like I said they barely ever call. My son is 4 btw.
