Is a ten year difference too much?

Question

My family has been harassing me abt having another baby. I told them I don’t plan on getting pregnant until my son is abt 10. He’s currently 15 months. My family thinks that’s too long and he should have a sibling close in age. My mind you my son was not planned, so I can barely afford him lol I definitely wouldn’t be able to afford two kids. Not now at least. 
After everyone telling me that’s too big of a gap I’ve been starting to second guess myself. And honestly it stresses me out haha. What do you guys think?

I was 7 years younger than my brother and I feel like I was basically an only child. I won’t have my children that far. I wouldn’t purposefully go more than 5 years

There's 10yrs between me and my brother and Iv gotten on better with him than my three sisters who are 5,6&7 yrs younger than me.

My daughter is 11 and I’m currently pregnant with twins so By the time my babies r 4 months old my daughter will be 12 so the age gap does bother me a little but because she’ll be in high school and doing her “thing” I guess it’ll give me a little more time with the twins. It’s completely Up to you as you’re carrying the baby and giving birth!  There are significant age gaps between myself and my siblings and we’re not close so I guess there’s a lot to think about

Nope! My baby sister and brother are 14 and 15 years younger than me. We are all still very close!

Me and my older sister are 10 years apart. She used to "mom" me a lot and now we're super close. Also I'm old and young enough I get to enjoy being an aunt to her 3 without having my own kids.

Nope! My sisters are 11 & 13 years younger than me and we get along great. Honestly some of that is because I was a second mother to them so I’d recommend careful parenting about it. But our personalities are also a lot more similar than with my other sisters who are closer to my age. And who cares what other people think, you gotta worry about yourself first.

My sisters are 15 years, 18 years, and 21 years older than me. There are pros and cons.
Pros
I was like a second mother to them. I was a huge help to my mother because I could help clean, cook, change diapers, rock the babies to sleep, babysit etc. 
It helped me to learn responsibility and when I was pregnant with my 1st I had so much less fear about it than other 1st time moms. 
Cons
My children are closer in age to my siblings than I am. I don't have a sister I can really talk to about problems or my marriage. My sister I'm 15 years older just turned 21. She's in the party all night stage and I've been there done that. I'm a parent and I've been married almost 14 years. I'm more like a parent to her than a sister. I want to tell her how dumb her choices are all the time. 
My mom got burnt out. When i left the house at 21 my mom had a brand new baby at home, plus a 4 year old and a 6 year old. Years later she told me that she was so tired. She was burnt out because she's been parenting so long. My youngest sister is 15. She still has years to go. 
So I knew from my experience I wanted to have all my children pretty close together. But it would be nice to have that extra help of an older child sometimes. I think it depends on your personality and what you want. There's no right or wrong answer.

You said your son was unplanned so maybe down the road you’ll have another surprise baby... And I’m sure it will come before the 10 year mark 😆 Don’t stress about it. Do what you have to and what feels right for you. Family is not going to have your baby for you, care for the baby for you or pay for the baby for you. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Anyways, we always end up changing our minds or have unexpected things happen. So just enjoy your little boy ❤️
