New birth control

Okay ladies, I’ve been on birth control (same brand) for 5 years.

My OBGYB always checked every 6 months to see how the birth control was going and did a check up.

I recently started my new job and I couldn’t go to my regular OBGYN due to the hours. I’ve finally managed to get an appointment to a new OBGYN and she has me on new birth control which I just started last Monday (3/23).

I have been experiencing some spotting/feels like I have my period again this month with this new birth control I’m on. I’m exhausted, I’m spotting to the point I have to wear a pad...

My questions is... is this normal that I’m spotting on a different brand of birth control? Could I possibly get my period again this month?
