When my miracle turned into a nightmare

We tried for so long to get pregnant. Really it was a year and a half. I finally gave up and our miracle happened...a week ago I found out we was expecting. Joy overwhelmed me. My mind became baby mind 24/7 and my husband was over the moon excited. Then my worst nightmare happened. 4am this Thursday I experienced excruciating pain and thought it was normal baby growing pains. To my complete shock I went to the bathroom and discovered blood...bright and heavy. I panicked and called my husband at work (he works out of state) and told him what was happening. He was so confused and I could hear terror in his voice when he asked me “what’s that mean?” I ran to the ER and because I live in a very rural area our hospital is a critical access only. That means no OB and no sonogram system to get an ultrasound. They said I expierenced a threatened miscarriage and that I had to see my OBGYN the next day to confirm anything. Long story short I had to do more blood work on Friday for her and still don’t know anything. All she could say was my Quants were very low and to really know if I miscarried I have to go back on Monday to see if they have doubled which means I didn’t miscarry, however if they are low that means I did. I feel like I lost a piece of myself that day. Has anyone expierenced the same and how long after did you conceive again?
